This page explains what data is (and is not) processed when you browse FranceHistories.

Summary

  • No account, no newsletter, no analytics, no advertising trackers.
  • Preferences are stored locally on your device (language, theme).
  • External content (e.g. Wikimedia images) is loaded directly from third-party servers.
  • The hosting provider may keep technical logs (e.g. IP address) for security and delivery.

Data we store

FranceHistories does not store personal data on its own servers. The site only stores a few preferences on your device to improve your experience:

  • LanguagelocalStorage["kb-lang"]
  • Theme (dark mode)localStorage["kb-theme"]

You can delete these values at any time from your browser settings (site data / local storage).

Third parties

Your rights (GDPR)

Under the GDPR, you have rights regarding your personal data (access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, portability). In practice, FranceHistories does not identify you and does not store personal data on its own servers, so there is generally no user profile to access or delete.
